Orientation and Onboarding: PYM will provide you with an orientation process and help develop your Board Manual / Handbook. We will work with you to ensure a board with the necessary knowledge, skills and motivation to fully engage in and lead your organization.
Board Training and Communications:
PYM is uniquely qualified to provide training to strengthen your board’s understanding of the laws and regulations by which they govern and how these laws are expressed in roles and responsibilities. PYM will explore each role and responsibility for its relationship to governance and how governance is different from management.
PYM will provide you the tools needed to build a healthy partnership between board and leadership staff to advance the mission, increase your impact, inspire stakeholders and raise necessary funds.
BOARD DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP
Goal 1: To enhance understanding of nonprofit fiduciary duties and how those evolved into the best practices of nonprofit board roles and responsibilities.
Goal 2: To take a deep dive into board roles and responsibilities to ensure they are meaningful to the board and consistently harnessed.
Goal 3: To enhance the capacity of the board through a Recruitment and Orientation process that clarifies expectations while ensuring diversity in areas of expertise, resources, community connections, age, gender, and race.
Goal 4: To increase efficiency, efficacy and leadership abilities of the board.
Length of Workshop: 4 – 5 hours
